Anthony Hamilton is yet another artists in the music industry who is compared among the top most R&B vocalists such as Bill Withers and Bobby Womack. However, the artist had to struggle for the release of his two albums in the era of 1990. He started singing in the church choirs in Charlotte, NC, at the time he was just a teenager. He also gave several performances at the night club and participated in many talent shows. But, all this was just not enough for him as he had bigger dreams. Therefore, in 1993, the artist moved to the New York City and signed a contract with Uptown Records. Uptown Records was a recording company with which names of renowned artist like Jodeci and Mary J. Blige are associated. In the year of 1995, Uptown released Anthony Hamilton's debut album, but unfortunately the album was not released as the company run out of business.

However, Anthony was made to sign yet another record deal with MCA Records and came up with his long awaited album titled "XTC" which was released in the year of 1996. His next stoppage was at the Soulife label which is considered as Hamilton's golden period. Over here hemet his old Charlotte friends and began writing songs for his solo album as well as for other artists such as Donell Jones and Sunshine Anderson. The year 2000 seemed quite promising for him as gave back up vocals for the singer/organist D'Angelo's "Voodoo Tour" and went touring the world.

The artist could not gain much popularity in the initial years because both of his albums could not release. For two consecutive years, the artist sold songs and gave singing backups for many artists like 2Pac and Eve, followed by 2002's on the spot singing on the Nappy Roots song "Po' Folks" because of which Hamilton grabbed the much awaited and needed attention from the audience all across the world. The song was also nominated for the Grammys as one of the Best Rap/Song Collaboration. This event was a major one in musical career as he was made to sign a contract for So So Def Label by producer Jamie Dupri. His fourth album "Comin' From Where I'm From" was released under the same record and gained widespread popularity across the globe.Catch the artist performing live at a nearby venue and buy the concert tickets from the ticket vendor online.
