Barbara Streisand is one of the fine artist of her times. She is considered to be a born talent whose singing nearly rocked every audience across the world. But, her career was just not limited to singing as she was a renowned stage artist, a film actress, and as well as a talented music director. Despite of being a complete entertainment package, Barbara' s strong and thrilling voice gave her career a big boost in terms of her career as an artist.

Like any other artist, initial years of Barbara's career were quite struggling. In the early 60's, she performed as an actress and a night club singer in the New York City. She worked very hard to establish herself in the industry of glamor, fame, and show business. However, Barbara's first Broadway show "I Can Get It For You Wholesale" which appeared in the year of 1962 proved to be a huge success that leaded her way to stardom. The cast album of the show, followed by several appearances on Pins and Needles are considered to be her first recordings. Soon, after that the talented artist was made to sign a contract with the Columbia Records under which she released her debut album titled "The Barbara Streisand Album," in the year pf 1963. The album became one of the smashing hit albums and reached Top Ten charts, which eventually went gold, making Streisand as one of the most best-selling recording artists of that era.

By the year 1964, Barbara had three consecutive albums which were successful. But , all this was just not enough for her, and she eventually performed in a Broadway show "Funny Girl" in which she appeared for nearly two consecutive years. However, a hit single "People" that came from that show became her most heard songs which are still considered to be as one of the best songs till date. This particular song reached the Top Ten musical charts, spreading her popularity as an artist through the country as well as across the country. "People" became her first hit LP. In 1965, she turned on to television with "My Name Is Barbara," which was her first of the five network specials, followed by her Hollywood project, a film titled "Funny Girl" which was released in the year of 1967. She had even won an Academy Award for the same. But, by 1970, Barbara's second and third films flopped and Streisand returned to the hit-making with a Top Ten cover of Laura Nyro's "Stony End" and a yet another flop performance in the comedy "The Owl and the Pussycat."

However, in 1970's, Barbara again concentrated on her music and acting career. Her film "The Way We Were" increased her fan base tremendously, followed by a title soundtrack which became her first hit single. Several other single include "A Star Is Born," followed by "Evergreen," a song which she co-wrote. This was the time when there was no looking back as every album she released became a huge hit and sold more than a million copies. The period of late '70s was her best period as she joined hands with her duet with Neil Diamond and did songs like "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough), " a dance record done with Donna Summer.

In 1985, another Broadway album appeared which paved her way to grab the number one position, followed by a 1991 release of "Just for the Record." However, Barbara made a come back as a film director in 1991 titled "The Prince of Tides." In 1996, she directed her third film "The Mirror Has Two Faces," with a consecutive released of "A Love Like Ours" in 1999.So buy tickets for the concert from the ticket vendor online.
