The South London art-punkers Bloc Party is best known for its melodious mix of angular sonics with pop constitution. Comprising of Kele Okereke (singer/guitarist), Russell Lissack (guitarist), Gordon Moakes (bassist/singer), and Matt Tong (drummer), the group was previously identified as Angel Range and Union prior to settle on Bloc Party. Though the band is nascent comparing to big guns in this field, yet it has its own recognition in the entertainment world. Its untiring effort to produce quality music has earned praise from millions of fans. The audience is always eager to purchase its concert tickets.

Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack, the founder duo have fashioned the fulcrum of various incarnations before being called Bloc Party. Kele met Lissack in Essex in 1998.Both walloped into each other once more in 1999 Reading Festival and soon shaped the band Union. Along with Tong and Moaks they issued their first demo in 2003.In later part of that year the quartet reincarnated as Bloc Party. They drew influences groups like Sonic Youth, Pixies, Joy Division, Gang of Four, The Cure, and Mystery Jets etc on their own variant of bristly guitar rock. In November 2003, their track 'The Marshals Are Dead' marked on a compilation named 'The New Cross' produced by Angular Recording Corporation. Their debut single "She's Hearing Voices" hit the list soon afterwards.

The group got its big break when Okereke appeared in a Franz Ferdinand concert. He was able to influence both Alex Kapranos, Franz lead singer and Steve Lamacq, Radio One DJ. Lamacq approached them to document a live session for his radio show "Genius".The whine spawned off from the Trash Aesthetics single generated much A&R interest. It led to a single Banquet, financed by the label Moshi Moshi.The band was eventually signed by Wichita Records in 2004.

Their vitally commended introduction album, Silent Alarm, came in February 2005. It was voted by NME critics as the album of the year. It got #3 on UK charts and became platinum. Their vivacious single "The Pioneers" hit number one spot in the NME charts for 4 weeks. Okereke and Lissack performed on stage in Cardiff in 2005. It made Bloc Party one of the most popular innovative bands and the reputable electronic group. The Chemical Brothers joined Okereke for a track for Push the Button album.

"Two More Years" came on October 3 coinciding group's October 2005 UK tour several new tracks hit the path their touring schedule. The group supplied the track "The Present" to the War Child charity benefit compilation "Help: a Day in the Life".
