Contemporary country singer, songwriter Brad Paisley is, among audiences and critics, the acknowledged new traditionalist standard bearer for the 2000s country music. He is the new guy, who not only rakes in the cash, but also receives consistently good reviews for his music. Tickets sales for his concerts and album have shown a meteoric rise, a testimonial to his rising popularity. His music does not play to overly serious Americana fans, who are listeners of sombre music but through his music, like to wise crack and have a little fun. But, he does take his music seriously though he has never claimed to deliver a classic. His ability to favour a cute turn of phrase or to throw a knowing wink to his audience has endeared him to a growing legion of fans.

Brad Paisley was born in Glen Dale, WV on October 28, 1972. He showed an early aptitude for music and strummed his first guitar at the tender age of eight. At ten he delivered his first public performance at a church, which laid the foundations of his musical career. He formed a band with his guitar teacher Clarence "Hank" Goddard and two others called C-Notes. His performance in front of the local Rotary Club merited a call from WWVA's Saturday night broadcast Jamboree USA. This paved the way for an immensely fruitful full-time stint with the program and later on the contacts he made at Nashville's Belmont University helped him land his first song writing deal with EMI.

His debut solo album "Who Needs Pictures" released in 1999. The album had two charts- topping singles in "We Danced" and "He Didn't Have to Be", an ode to loving stepfathers. Music lovers woke up a diversity of country styles and the album generally earned positive reviews. "Two People", the sequel to Paisley's debut was released in 2001, followed the success of his earlier album and promptly returned him to the Top Five with the singles " I'm Gonna Miss Her", and "Two People Fell in Love". In July 2003, he came out with "Mud on the Tires ", which further secured his position as singer or rare talent in the country music scene. His 2005 album, "Time Well Wasted has been applauded for the quality of writing. Song for song, this is, by far, his best set of tunes.

Paisley is not a big and brassy singer and has consistently differentiated himself from other colourless alt-country singers through his tinge of wry humour. Over the years, Paisley prefers to lie back and rely on a natural flow rather than depend on his silly sentimental streak. This gives a greater appeal to his already attractive music as his humour is now sly- and lived in, which blends in perfect harmony with his pragmatic country music. Paisley is a deliberate traditionalist and has benefited form mining the same musical vein. His one of the few singers who have had a heady mix of critical and popular appeal. He has won a CMA's Horizon Award in 2000 and a few Grammy nods as well (including one as Best New Artist).

Brad Paisley is an integral part of all his songs and his touch is everywhere. And, his years in the music industry have turned him into a genuine craftsman, both as a musician and a songwriter. With four best -selling albums, to his credit, he's hitting his stride. His concerts have also showcased his dazzling prowess and have left his fans asking for more. He is one of the fastest rising stars on the musical horizon and music lovers are queuing up to get a taste of his music. His rising popularity is characterised by the rising sales of his concert tickets. So all you country music lovers - Go get your tickets now.
