The Buzzfest is Houston's answer to annual events like Woodstock, The Horde Festival, Ozzfest and other such concerts. The Fifth Annual Buzzfest took place at the Woodlands Pavilion. It was supposed to be held at Minute Maid Park, but due to the 2005 World Series which featured the Houston Astros, it was moved to the Woodlands Pavilion.
The event is held annually by KTBZ-FM, also known as 94.5 The Buzz, an alternative rock radio station based in Houston, Texas. In the past, bands such as No Doubt, Bush, Silverchair, The Toadies, Seven Mary Three and Matchbox 20 have played at Buzzfest.
The concert also has featured newcomers and local bands such as Cool For August, The Hunger, Black Lab, Big Wreck, Mighty Joe Plumb, Space Hog and many others.
This years Buzzfest featured bands like Hinder, 30 Seconds to Mars, Institute, Cold, Our Lady Peace, Seether, Nickelback, Audioslave, Panic at the Disco, Boys Night Out, Motion City Soundtrack, The Starting Line, Dredg, Vaux, 10 Years, Coheed & Cambria, Yellowcard, Blood Hound Gang and Fall Out Boy.
