Café Tacuba popularly known as Café Tacvba is the Mexican band hailing from Naucalpan, Mexico. This band was formed in 1989 and till now they hold the same lineup without any new entry and exit. This Mexican rock band is tremendously diverse and therefore impossible to label as Rock en Español. They keep on playing with their tunes and lyrics which has made them very popular. They are always on non-stop tour that's why they have huge fan following. It has been seen that all their shows and concerts are completely sold out and people tend to book their tickets in advance. They have really set the very high standards for various other bands and they also make sure that their two songs are not of same genre. This shows their grip over the music and lyrics. Also they carry Mexico's aboriginal population and folk music traditions. This Mexican folk music tradition is blended with punk and electronic music. That's the mantra of their success. Many other Mexican bands too tried to do the same but they all failed to match the high standards set by them.

Talking about their music is something which has now become talk of Mexico. They always feature Albarrán's gratingly nasal voice mixed with impressive lung capacity in their songs. This produces the best and the unique sound which they use in their music. And more surprising is that they completely sing in Spanish but also have a noteworthy Anglophone following regardless. Their song "Chilanga Banda" carried a hip-hop beat under stream of Mexico City slang. It means "María" is a 'bolero' balad about a somewhat romantic ghost. However, their second track "El Fin de la Infancia" is the perfect example of brass-heavy 'banda ranchera' sound. Furthermore if we delve we come to know that one of their tracks "Desperté" had a tango-driven melody that seems to be stolen from a Latin-American soap opera but "El borrego" is pure speed metal. Talking about their past they lifted their name from a traditional coffee shop (el Café de Tacuba) located in downtown Mexico City. This café was inaugurated on 1912 and had its heyday in the 1940's and 1950's. Till now this café is opened on Tacuba Street, in Mexico City's Historic Center.

The band's original lineup is Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega, Cosme, Nrü, Amparo Tonto Medardo, Johnny Rotten, Élfego Buendía, Rita Cantalagua, Enrique 'Quique' Rangel Arroyo, Emmanuel "Meme" Del Real Díaz and José Alfredo "Joselo" Rangel Arroyo. Currently they are on world tour also simultaneously also gearing up for their new album.

So, in order to enjoy their show just have to do two things that is learn Spanish and get your tickets booked from the closest ticketing vendor.
