Music just happened to popular Irish singer/songwriter Damien Rice. Damien spent his early years in the beautiful countryside of Celbridge, County Kildare. By the time he discovered his hidden talents, when he began painting and writing songs. His instincts and great love for art inspired him to form a band. Soon he jumped in the world of music with his unique, heavy indie rock sounds. In 1997, his band was signed up by PolyGram.
His very first singles, "Weathermen" and "The World Is Dead" did reasonably well on Irish radio. Unfortunately he couldn't record his full-length album because of some rules. This was quite a heartening thing for him, so moved here and there across the wild hills of Tuscany. Within a year, he returned to Dublin. This time he was determined to make his presence felt on the main stream musical scene.
Soon, he recorded a demo and then sent it to producer and famous film producer David Arnold. Fortunately, this demo could impress David and he decided to help Rice. David facilitated his own mobile studio to Damien to make a record. Then came Damien's single, "The Blower's Daughter," this was an instant hit and went on to hit top twenty when it released in fall 2000. After this release, Damien performed in many gigs with the likes of McAlmont & Butler.
This was followed by "O" in 2003, "B-Sides" in 2004 and "Unplayed Piano" in 2005. Damien has just arrived on the mainstream musical scene. With his sheer dedication and music, this performer will give some of the very best soothing tracks to music lovers. If you want to know more about Rice; then catch him performing live, just collect your tickets from an on-line ticket vendor and be there.
