Background:

From Missoula, Montana, comes this great talent called Dana Thomas Carvey. She is an American actor as well as comedian. His family shifted to San Carlos, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, when he was just three years old. He got a Bachelor's degree in communications from San Francisco State University.

In the year 1982, she costarred on One of the Boys. This was a short lived television sitcom that also featured Mickey Rooney, Nathan Lane, and Meg Ryan. In Rob Reiner's This Is Spinal Tap film, he had a small role. This was in the year, 1984 and he played a mime with comedian Billy Crystal.

When he joined the NBC's Saturday Night Live, in 1986, he was a household name. His SNL impressions and characters incorporated Johnny Carson, Garth Algar (from Wayne's World), President George H. W. Bush, The Grumpy Old Man (from Weekend Update appearances), Ross Perot, The Church Lady, Hans (from Hans and Franz), President Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, John McLaughlin, to name a few. In the year 1993, he left the show.

In 1992, he joined Mike Myers and brought Wayne's World sketch to the silver screen. In the following year a sequel was filmed and released and was entitled Wayne's World 2.

In 1994, he starred in Clean Slate.

He underwent open-heart surgery for a blocked artery, in 1997. The doctors operated the wrong artery and he subsequently sued the doctors. He won the case and received $7.5 million. He underwent five operations to rectify his heart ailment.

He returned to the silver screen with Master of Disguise, that came out in 2002.
