Are you looking for tickets to see a guitarist extraordinaire, a man who has played with a number of the biggest recording artists of today as well as with some of the biggest bands of our times? Then you need to get your tickets to see Daryl Stuermer live in concert. Stuermer is possibly one of the most underrated musicians and writers of our time and his talent has to be seen live to be believed. His story is the uncomplicated saga of a boy who loved music and did whatever he could to make music.

Stuermer was born on the south side of Milwaukee and he began to feel the birth pangs of the musician inside him when he was just eleven years old. He picked up his first guitar at that time and began to teach himself how to play. He was influenced early on by the likes of The Ventures and Elvis Presley and these were the tunes that he began to first strum on his guitar. He later became enamored with the sound of the Beatles, a band that would be one of the most prominent in shaping Stuermer's musical style and direction.

While other teenagers his age were making the most out of being teenagers, Stuermer was studying the solo works of jazz musicians like Joe Pass, Howard Roberts and Wes Montgomery. He was looking for something more challenging to do on the guitar and jazz provided a perfect venue for experimenting. As he evolved as a musician, he began emulating the styles of guitar greats like Larry Coryell, John McLaughlin and of course Jimi Hendrix.

Stuermer soon began playing with a local band called Sweetbottom and was noticed one evening by George Duke, the keyboardist for Frank Zappa. He later encouraged Stuermer to head to LA and audition for legendary jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. Stuermer nailed the audition and at the age of 22, he was touring with one of the greats of the jazz world. He would also go on to record four albums with Ponty.

Stuermer began his most well-documented musical hook-up in 1977 when he met Mike Rutherford and became a member of the band Genesis, which included Phil Collins. The relationship would last 20 years. In 1982, when Collins formed his own band, he signed on Steurmer as lead guitarist and he would appear on tours and on all of Collins' solo albums. He also shares writing credits for songs like "Something Happened On the Way To Heaven," "Only You Know and I Know," and "Doesn't Anybody Stay Together Anymore." After finishing the 1987 Genesis tour, Stuermer recorded and released his first solo instrumental album.
