Looking to relive some good old-time rock and roll with a man who has dedicated his life to recreating the sounds and songs of the fifties so that they are never lost? Then grab your tickets to hear the one and only Dave Edmunds jamming and jiving live in concert. Edmunds has dedicated himself to the pure pop and rock and roll sounds of the fifties and sixties and his concerts are enjoyable for old and new audience members alike, as one lives out some of the sweetest songs of the century and the other discovers the magic of good old rock and roll.

Edmunds is perhaps best known for his efforts as a producer since he has helped launch the careers of a number of big names and has produced a number of hit singles as well. However, Edmunds is a wonderful guitarist and musician in his own right who thoroughly enjoys playing the good old tunes from the fifties and sixties, especially those that came just before the Beatles era. As a teenager, he was fascinated with the music of legends like Elvis Presley, The Everly Brothers, Scotty Moore, Chet Atkins and James Burton. He was especially enamored with the work of producers like Phil Spector and would go on to emulate his recording style to a tee.

Edmunds also developed a taste for American blues and began to play in a number of blues bands before forming the outfit Love Sculpture in the sixties. The band had one hit called Sabre Dance which was a dance hit in 1968. The band soon broke up and Edmunds began spending an enormous amount of time in his studio, reconstructing his favorite records, often laying each track himself. Ironically enough, the one track that became a huge hit called 'I Hear You Knockin'' is least indicative of his true musical leanings. Edmunds followed the success of this with a number of cover tunes, which met with moderate success.

Edmunds' next band project would be a group called Rockpile which re-created the spirit and feel of rock and roll but with new material provided by member Nick Lowe. The band did rather well, chalking up some hits like 'Queen of Hearts' and 'Girls Talk'. However internal pressures caused the band to split and Edmunds began to dedicate more time to producing, working with artists like The Stray Cats, k.d. lang, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Everly Brothers.

Edmunds continues to tour and play today, despite recently undergoing quadruple bypass surgery. His shows are always a refreshing blast from the past that faithfully recreates the upbeat energy and catchy pop that went hand in hand with rock and roll long ago.
