David Gray is one of the most influential stars in English Music. Because of his immense contribution in music, this musical genius is rated among the likes of Beatles and Sex Pistols. David has been consistently giving the soothing music with his favorite acoustic guitar. David was born in 1970 in Manchester.

He grew up around the suburbs of Wales before he went on to attend the University of Liverpool. During his school days David joined a few local punk bands. Though he couldn't stick to any of the bands and then began exploring new styles of writing. With his diligent efforts David began acquiring poetic penmanship. To make it big, he moved to London and eventually got signed by Hut Records in the UK and then by Caroline Records in the United States. In 1992, he issued his first album "Birds without Wings." This album was a full of some very emotional tracks with anger and passion.

After this he embarked on an extensive tour. During one of his shows he also opened for Shawn Colvin. In 1994, he issued his next album, "Flesh," which earned an overwhelming response. Despite achieving such success, he was dropped from his first label. Soon, EMI Records signed him. With his sizzling numbers and high beats, Gray created a buzz around the clubs of Ireland. In 1996, he issued his next album, "Sell, Sell, and Sell."

Once again he hit the roads but this time with Radiohead and Dave Matthews Band. He issued his next album "White Leader" under his own label IHT Records in 1998. This release became an instant hit in Ireland and record hit the Irish Top 30. In July 2001, he issued the "EPs 92-94."
