Electric Six, Formerly known as the Wildbunch is one of the Detroit band that has all the elements of a complete package of musical rhythms such as disco, punk, new wave, and metal. The band got very popular with their song "Danger! High Voltage," that was a smashing hit and reached at number two position on the British musical charts in the beginning of 2003. The band members included Singer Dick Valentine, guitarists Rock and Roll Indian and Surge Joebot, bassist Disco, and drummer M. The six of them co-ordinated with each other to form the Wildbunch in 1996.
The band's debut single "I Lost Control (Of My Rock & Roll)," was released with the joining of their new keyboardist Tait Nucleus, followed by the eight-track "An Evening With the Many Moods of the Wildbunch's Greatest Hits... Tonight". These were released in the same year under the Uchu Cult Records.
Electric Six also released their full-length album in 1999 under the same label. The sextet went touring several places nationally as well as internationally. Soon, the group decided to shift to Flying Bomb for hit singles like "The Ballad of MC Sucka DJ," the Christmas single "Flying Bomb Surprise Package, Vol. 1," which were released in 1997, followed by 2001's "Danger! High Voltage," that was an underground hit. This particular song was a huge hit in the UK, making them one of the most admired amongst the audiences.
In the consecutive year , Electric Six signed a contract with XL and re-recorded the single which had backing vocals from the White Stripe's Jack White. It was after the re-release of "Danger! High Voltage" in 2003, that the group issued their full-length debut album "Fire" in summers. But, unfortunately, just a few weeks after the album's release, Disco, Rock and Roll Indian and Surge Joebot left the band, and were replaced by Frank Lloyd Bonaventure, The Colonel and Johnny Nashinal. So Buy tickets for the artist show from the ticket master sites.
