The music of Fiest is like the missing link between the Brill building ear, doo-wop melody, minimal modern pop arrangements and ye old folk. Truly a remarkably mixture made just to captivate music aficionados world over. The songs and the music that propels it are like line drawings as opposed to detailed paintings, leaving you just the right amount of space to fill in the emotional blanks. Her music stands out form much of today's musical offerings as they are put simply without any trappings; they are laced with beautiful slices of sonic escapism illustrating and interrupting the little moments that all come together to tell us stories. This Canadian born singer has achieved a lot in the few years that she has been on the music scene through sheer talent and determined grit.

Her first shot at supporting af proper gig came when she performed with the Ramones at an outdoor festival. This was a result of her high school band winning a battle of the bands contest. She played together with the Ramones for five years but this association ended when she had to move to Toronto to see a doctor treating musical injuries. She lost her voice when she was on her first cross-Canadian tour, at the age on 19. Though, losing a voice is a tragic occurrence for any singer, she did not lose hope and decided to let her guitar do all the singing for her. She was so good at it that within 6 months she wasn playing guitar in By Divine Right opening for the Tragically Hip, mostly in front of stadium crowds of around 40,000, for over six months. The same year that is 1999 saw her putting out her first solo album which she sold off the stage, though somewhat smaller

She later sang on Uber Alles, Gonazles's first European release and toured with him across Europe, working on her solo songs alongside. The years after have been spent in the Broken Special tours, and honing her already fine tuned special music skills, leading to the release of her eponymous album 'Let it Die'. This album takes the cake among all her previous accomplishments for the sheer value of her song craft. She now on tour and you have your chance to get to see her live in action. So go get those tickets now.
