Get your tickets to see some cutting edge industrial rock brought to you by the band that does it the best- get your tickets to see Filter live in concert! With a killer blend of hard edged, powerful melodies, immense crossover appeal and a lead vocalist whose voice soars to a scream that can shatter glass, Filter has certainly made its mark on the music scene and gained an immense international following as well as widespread critical acclaim.

Filter was born in 1993 when Richard Patrick (former guitarist for Nine Inch Nails and brother of actor Robert Patrick) and guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang got together to create some music of their own. Riding on the wave of the music mania that had been spearheaded by Nine Inch Nails, Filter released their first album in 1995 when Patrick was still touring with Nine Inch Nails. The debut album Short Bus spawned a huge hit 'Hey Man, Nice Shot'. The single immediately courted controversy since it was seen to capitalize on the public suicide of Budd Dwyer while others thought it was inspired by the suicide of grunge legend Kurt Cobain.

Whatever the reasons, the song catapulted Filter into the band of the hour seat and offers immediately began to pour in for collaborative and soundtrack work. The duo did the number 'Jurrasitol' for The Crow: City of Angels soundtrack and the song 'Can't you trip like I do' with Crystal Method for the Spawn soundtrack. Filter also released a home video including live performances and interviews. However in 1997, after recording the Spawn single, Liesegang left the band due to creative differences. Patrick continued to record and make music and decided the keep the name Filter, which he used when recording a number for the X-Files soundtrack.

Patrick continued to churn out albums on his own under the name of Filter, releasing Title of Record in 1999 which moved slightly away from the industrial rock genre. In 2002 he released The Amalgamut which spawned the hit single 'Where do we go from here?' Patrick has put Filter on hold for a while as he is currently working on a new band, Army of Anyone with former Stone Temple Pilots members Dean and Robert DeLeo.
