Fleetwood Mac is one of the renowned groups which emerged in the late 60's. It conceived as a British blues combo, and eventually flourished their musical career in the pop/rock music in the music industry. Throughout their course of time, the band Fleetwood Mac could only retain band members which included drummer Mick Fleetwood, and bassist John Mc Vie- a part of the band that provided the band with its name. However, they showcased least influence on the musical direction of the band.
Initially, the guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer gave the band a strong, neo-psychedelic blues -rock sound, but as both guitarists suffered some kind of mental illness, the group shifted towards pop/rock which included songwriting of pianist Christine Mc Vie. But, in the mid-70's, Fleetwood Mac again came back to California where they included a soft rock pair of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to complete their line-up. Fleetwood Mac formed an emotional bonding that boosted their 1977's album "Rumors" as one of the most selling albums in the market. They made outstanding performances throughout their career, while increasing a tremendous fan base. However, in early '80s the band members Buckingham, Nicks, and Christine Mc Vie started pursuing solo careers. But, in 1987, the band reunited to release their second album "Tango in the Night."
The band lie in John Mayall's magnificent British blues outfit, the Bluesbreakers. John McVie who acted as bassist was one of the main members of the Bluesbreakers who joined the group in the year of 1963. In 1966, Peter Green was replaced by Eric Clapton, and a year later the band welcomed the joining of their new drummer Mick Fleetwood.
Moreover, in 1968, Fleetwood Mac came up with "English Rose," followed by "Then Play On" in 1969. The same year Green's "Man of the World" and "Oh Well" appeared as number two hits. However, Buckingham decided to depart from Fleetwood Mac after working on "Tango in the Night," and was replaced by guitarists Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. Soon, the brand new lineup of the band came up with their first album "Behind the Mask," in the year 1990. It was the band's first album which got super-duper hit and also went gold since 1975.So, if you want to catch them performing live, then buy the concert tickets from the online ticket vendor.
