Garrison Starr is one of the most popular Singer/songwriter who developed passion for music when she was a child. She is a product of Nashville and being a born talent, her artistry also showcase some of the elements of country combined with tinge of rock.

Even at the time she was in high school, her aspirations and interest was always inclined towards music. Starr always dreamt of becoming a successful singer. She was a talented artist as her first homemade cassette titled "Pinwheels" was released at the time she was a high school student. However, Garrison left her home town to pursue her studies at the University of Mississippi in the year of 1993.

But, joining college was just a past time for her. Soon, she dropped out from the college and concentrated wholly on music. Within a period of one year she came up with her debut album titled "Eighteen Over Me" which was huge hit. Garrison was no longer an amateur singer by now, as she was recognized by almost all the top shots of the music industry. Just before the release of her debut album, her EP "Stupid Girl" appeared in 1996, which gave her the direction to move forward in her career. However, she got tremendous support from her best friend Clay Jones throughtout her career.
