Popular Singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw began playing piano at the age of eight. Gavin got a very conducive atmosphere to nourish his music skills. After studying piano for a while, Gavin began playing in local cover bands with his older brother around the suburbs of New York. Everything was going on quite fine for Gavin.

Soon he took admission at the reputed Berklee School of Music. After completing his course, Gavin moved to songwriting and since then he has been consistently writing songs. After playing some gigs, he decided to make it big. He hit the main stream music scene in the late '90s.
