Shelton Hank Williams III is one of the magnificent artist of his times. The talented artist was born and brought up in Nashville, TN, on December 12, 1972. He is the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Jr. Inclination towards music was there since childhood and therefore excelled in the country music. Initially Hank III wasn't in the scene of country music, as he used to play in the hardcore punk bands as a drummer.

It was only during 1996 that his talent was recognized and so was made to sign a record deal with Music City giant Curb. Under this label he issued "Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts", which had all the traits of good traditional country music.

Because of a strong voice like his grandfather, he had an amazing fan base, but got weaker in his performances with time because he had no patience left for Nashville's rigid control. However, he and his band could wow a crowd with their magnificent country balladry and spirited honky tonk. As far as Hank III was concerned, he could just not as easily move to gears with Black Flag-style punk rock with his hard-rocking combo AssJack.
