Born on the 30th of October,1967 Gavin McGregor Rossdale known to us as Gavin Rossdale the lead singer and guitarist of the band "Bush". He was born in the laps of nature in Kilburn, London, England. Born to Barbara Stephan and Douglas Rossdale ( a doctor by profession), Gavin showed interest in music very early in life. He has two sisters Soraya and Lorraine. Soraya's boyfriend was instrumental in his learning to play the bass guitar. He soon switched to the rhythm guitar which he preferred to the bass guitar. She got him into punk rock bands and Gavin was a hard core punk rocker very early on in life. He tried his hand at modelling and even playing soccer but had to give up soccer due to injury. His initial trial with forming a music group began with the band called "Midnight" which he formed.

Gavin has had a struggle to reach the stage he has. He went on to Los Angeles and tried his hand at every part time job that came his way before he came back to form a music band of his own. In the year 1992 Gavin Rossdale went on to form the band Future Primitive which later changed its name to "Bush".

Their debut album was released in the year 1994 called "Sixteen Stone".It went on to be an instant hit and was a huge success. They went on achieve the status of being one of the most popular and accepted British bands in the United States. They have been a terrific hit since and have done a number of tours and live concerts to housefulls of crazy and hardcore fans. The popular Bush albums have been "Razorblade Suitcase" , "Golden Stone" to name a few. Gavin has been continuously working at his song writing skills and has emerged a very mature writer and musician. Gavin went on to form the new band "Institute" in the year 2004.Their first album named "Distort Yourself" came out in the year 2005. Gavin's creative urge has not stopped at this and he has gone on to enter the film world with appearances in quite a few films.

Gavin Rossdale tied the nuptial knot in 2002 with Gwen Stefani who was the lead singer in the Ska Punk band. Rossdale is expecting his first baby with Stefani in June 2006.Gavin but for his music career is a very private man and prefers to keep a low profile away from the media. Since he came from a home with lot of problems he believes in giving his wife and would -be -born baby to have a stable home and relationship.
