Joe Satriani is one of the most popular rock artsits who emerged during the period of '80s and '90s. Amongst all the top shots of the rock music industry, Joe had marked his name as one of the most influential artists of the era. Joe was born as the citizen of Westbury, NY, on July 15, 1956. However, his upbringing was done in a small town named as Carle Place. Right from the days of his childhood, he was inclined towards music.

His inspirational idol was the popular guitar legend Jimi Hendrix. Joe was so, enthusiastic towards music that he started taking his guitar classes at an early age of 14 years. His interest was also towards playing drums, but finally the talented artist laid his hands on playing guitar. After learning the instrument, he started taking guitar classes by the end of the '70s era. It was during this time that the artist again went back to Berkley, CA. Over here, Joe Satriani continued teaching some of the famous artist of the industry such as Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Larry LaLonde of Primus, David Bryson of Counting Crows, and Charlie Hunter, who was the jazz fusion player.

The years of '80s saw a change in his musical career as he started working with Greg Kihn and went on several tours with the band. It was during this time that an album was released around this time titled "King Biscuit Flower Hour" which was released in the year of 1996, followed by his independent self-titled EP which came up much later in the year of 1984. All the financial help was done by himself and released the album on his own. However, in 1986, a full-length album was released titled "Not of this Earth" which was a huge hit. The album brought waves and thrills in the rock music industry, selling more than a million copies in the market. By now, Satriani had become one of the popular rock star and had gained tremendous recognition nationally as well as internationally.
