Born in New Zealand, Keith urban started learning music at a very tender age of six in Australia. A stand out guitar player, he is one of the most exhilarating talents ever. With interest in all round theatre, he is from the set of those musicians who can dance to their own tunes. The musical journey for Keith urban started when he was just six years old. His father, himself a great lover of the Australian country music always encouraged the raw talent. He was the one fixed up his music training with a lady who was offering her guitar. Here started the making of a great musician who was god gifted in his love for music. A young, raw, rash personality suited his kind of music & he set out to achieve something substantial a name for himself in the world of music.

His first album made him an instant hit, with many awards to follow yet throughout his rise he had his eyes on the Nashville, from where music in his heart was born and still resided. Almost from the beginning he made periodical pilgrimages to Nashville, forging valuable career bridges. In 1997 Urban decided to base himself in Nashville. With his Australian bandmate, drummer Peter Clarke, he formed the three-piece band the Ranch. s always with the band making music for a recording company called D in the late 70's but actually they never moved an inch forward. Lacking strong connections was one of the major issues why George failed in the attempt to carve out a niche for the band & for him. Though rough & tough at the beginning, George Strait dominated the singles chart in the 80's. With his first hit album being 'Unwound', released in the spring of 1981, he became famous.

The group became unbelievably close and produced some of the most fascinating music ever. Their concerts were an instant hit, with their debut album 'The Ranch' being applauded for its high pitched country music. Their live shows, featuring Urban's standout lead guitar playing, led to a record deal with Capitol Nashville and a management contract with I.R.S. Records. A great deal changed since then, Keith Urban not only received accolades for his performances in the band as the lead guitarist but also for his all-round contribution in the success of his band. As the destiny prevailed, the band was disbanded but the future of Keith was not dull at all. He became the hero for many & other artists called upon urban weave his magic in their bands.
