Albums like "No Sun Today" and "Wake Me" marked the emergence of one of the most popular and widely appreciated rapcore and Nu metal bands. And the band responsible - well none other than Linkin Park. Linkin Park band belongs to Los Angeles, California and was born in 1994. They stirred the world with their debut album only which became the highest selling album of that time. Also their debut album, "Hybrid Theory" was awarded as multi-platinum status and after that there was no looking back. From 1994 to 2006 they have come a long way in terms of music and songs as they gained the reputation of producing super duper hits thus making world dance to their tunes. For this reason alone, their concert tickets are a major sell out. Thus, if they are coming to rock your City, then make your way in by getting those hot tickets from the closest ticket vendor. Despite being so popular and famous, this band still tends to keep a low profile in media as they believe their music is there to do all the required publicity. Currently this band is signed with Warner Bros. and under that banner they gave various hit songs like "Dirt of your shoulder" and "Lying from You". Both these numbers soon became the anthem of the nation and rocked the world by their murmuring tunes.

Currently there are six members in the band viz.,Chester Bennington as lead vocal, drummer Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson as guitarist, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell as bass guitarist, samples and turntablist are taken care by Joseph Hahn and Mike Shinoda who not only plays the guitar but also plays keyboard, rap emcee. Linkin Park's band members belong to different places of same town but they all came into contact and this led to birth of world's most revered metal band. Very few know that Chester Bennington left the band in the early years due to some mild conflicts but soon he came back as he was not able to stay away from the band. That's why in one of the television interviews he quoted that "In such a small span of time the band became my soul and everyone knows it's very difficult to live without a soul. Thus, I am back to the place I feel I am born for." Earlier this band was known as "Lincoln Park" as the band used to drive from Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, California to the studio. And also they thought this name will give them more fame and popularity as there were various parks with the same name. This meant that many local people would recognize them too. But it was later changed to Linkin Park as the name domain name Lincolnpark.com was already registered thus they opted for the name Linkin Park.

The year 2005 was supposed to be not so good for the band as there were minor misgivings between the band and its label that is Warner Bros. They were on the verge of splitting up but soon every issue was resolved and in the same year they gave the world one of the biggest hits of all time.Warner Bros. is said to be their lucky charm as under the same banner they rocked the world with their tunes and is still continuing to do so. It is most certain that they will be releasing their new album in the summer of 2006 and the rock fans the world over are eagerly waiting for its release. Linkin Park also has the reputation of doing charity shows as they did various for Katrina and Rita at the time these hurricanes wiped out parts of America. This band has the reputation of providing rocking and powerful music thus if you haven't heard one go and grab a copy of their hit albums now. And also don't forget to book your tickets to their rocking concert if they are visiting your city.
