Michael Bolton began performing in the late seventies with a hard rock outfit called Blackjack. The group included former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick and even toured with Ozzy Osbourne. By now Bolton had established himself as a high caliber songwriter and was soon collaborating with artists like KISS, Kenny G, Barbara Streisand and Patti LaBelle. At around this time, Bolton began experimenting with Motown classics, which were well suited to the gravelly tone of his voice. He gained a considerable amount of success with his covers of songs like 'Sitting on the Dock of The Bay' and 'Georgia on my Mind' which he was able to perform with Ray Charles himself.

Michael Bolton began to establish himself as a chart topping recording artist with songs like the inspiring 'Back on My Feet Again', 'Love is a Wonderful Thing', and 'Can I Touch You There?'. He also went on to perform with artists like Placido Domingo, Wynona Judd and BB King. He has seven top ten albums to his name as well as American Music Awards and Grammys. Michael Bolton is also actively involved in the National coalition against domestic violence and foundations for the prevention of child abuse.
