Nickelback, the well known band has quickly become one of the most played rock bands on the radio waves. The band has earned a huge and passionate fan base with some very soothing and hugely popular rock ballads like "How Your Remind Me," "Someday" and "Too Bad." Band's lead singer Chad Kroeger has also scored a big hit with Josey Scott of the famous rock band Saliva, with super hit track "Hero" for the blockbuster movie "Spiderman." Canada's talented Nickelback started his musical journey under the shadow of a cover band in Hanna, which is 215 kilometers northeast of big Calgary.
Everything was going fine for the band but after sometime they really felt tire of playing the songs of other famous artists. Then the singer/guitarist Chad Kroeger, eventually put together a cool bunch of original songs; and after sometime they hit the big city of Vancouver to really record these tracks in a friend's studio. Everything was depended on the results, Chad's guitarist brother, Mike, and childhood pal bassist Ryan Vikedal all firmly relocated to Vancouver in 1996; in the same year, the band recorded and issued the EP Hesher and another full-length Curb independently. This was proved as a reasonable success and then the band embarked on a series of successful cross-country tours. By these honest efforts, the band earned a reasonable fan base and then they founded Nickelback in western Canada in 1995. Actually, the name was taken from nickel as change in one of the names of the band members.

Ultimately, this led to their big commercial success and this release was snapped up by the famous Roadrunner/Island, EMI in Canada and Def Jam in the U.S. This album did extremely well and ultimately sell an impressive 500,000 copies. The band climbed the heights of fame with the tremendous hit anthem, "How You Remind Me" in 2002. The band comprises Chad Kroeger as Lead Vocalist and electric Guitarist, Ryan Peake as Vocalist and electric guitarist, Mike Kroeger as Electric Bassist and Ryan Vikedal as drummer.
