Get your tickets to see a dark genius in the flesh, a man whose creative talents have spilled over into the realms of music, movies and art- get your tickets to see Rob Zombie live in concert. No matter which avatar you see him under, there is little doubt that you will come to realize that you are in the presence of greatness and that Rob Zombie himself is not a corporate sell out by any means- he has an agenda for his creativity and nothing else and that is what has made him such a monumental figure.
In many ways, Rob Zombie was the weird kid- sure he liked monsters and comic books like every other kid but his fascination went considerably deeper and would prove to be a driving force in his creative expression later in life. The staples of his obsession were and continue to be horror B-movies from the sixties, classic monsters, comics and wrestling. He was also interested in the more sinister aspects of American art at that time.
Zombie would go on to pursue a career in publishing, working as a cycle courier, on the sets of Pee Wee's Playhouse and as a designer for a porn magazine. It was there that he met Shauna Reynolds, another designer who shared his passion for dark art, horror and underground Americana. The two decided to form a band together with Zombie taking lead vocals and Reynolds taking bass and changing her name to Sean Yseult. Thus was born White Zombie, one of the most influential underground bands of its time. The sound was a combination of Danzig's goth metal, Red Hot Chili Peppers funk and swing and the biker image of Zombie and Yseult. The band gained cult status and became famous for their no holds barred live shows which included big visuals and pyrotechnics. Zombie was catapulted to the fore, being the main mastermind of the band and Yseult became an icon for female metal heads and rockers who saw a woman rocked the crowd using her bass, not her sexuality.
But bigger things were in store for Zombie. In 1998 he went solo and released his debut album Hellbilly Deluxe which had a far more industrial sound than the material he had done with White Zombie. The band split and Rob Zombie began to tour extensively to promote his album, which was already doing far better than anything White Zombie had done. Zombie would later appear at Ozzfest and would also tour with Lacuna Coil.
The talent doesn't stop there- Rob Zombie has also made the cult classic horror flicks House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, both made in the genre of the gore horror movies of the seventies. Rejected by Universal who was looking for a slicker horror picture, Zombie took the picture elsewhere rather than meddle with it and released the follow up picture on a tighter budget.Don't miss your chance to see this legendary maverick, this twisted visionary perform live on stage- contact your online ticket vendor for more information on how you can get tickets to see Rob Zombie live in concert.
