Get your tickets to see one of the most legendary singer/songwriters of our century, a man who has been making chart topping music for the past fifty years and shows no signs of slowing down- it's time to get your tickets to see Rod Stewart live in concert. Hailed by none other than the great Elton John as being the greatest white soul singer, Stewart has had twenty seven top ten hits over the span of his career and is widely acknowledged as being the best interpretive artist on the music scene.

Stewart began his career in England as a lead vocalist for a number of bands, including The Hoochie Coochie Men, the Jeff Beck Group and most notably The Faces, a band that established the sound that Stewart would carry into his solo career- a mixture of folk, rock, blues and soul that appeared in original material and covers of other songs. It was alongside The Faces that Stewart would launch his solo career with the release of his album Gasoline Alley. His next album would spawn his signature song 'Maggie May', which not only became a run away hit, it has been listed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll- one of the three songs of Stewart's to appear on that list.

As tension began to brew in the band over the rise of Stewart's solo career, the band finally split in 1975 and Stewart went on to pursue his solo career in full gear. He moved to America and became a citizen- though his early solo career in England was met with much critical praise, it was his work in America that garnered him both critical and commercial success as the man began churning out hit single after hit single. Among these are the songs 'Sailing', 'This Old Heart of Mine', 'I Don't Want to Talk About It', 'The First Cut is the Deepest', 'You're in My Heart', 'Downtown Train' and 'Forever Young'. Many of these songs were covers, particularly of Tom Waits or Cat Stevens songs but Stewart delivered them with an honesty and innovativeness that could hardly be put down to a simple cover versions.

Stewart was officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and continues to make music today, though he now concentrates on the classics of the Great American Songbook. Though this phase of Stewart's career was not met with much critical acclaim, it has garnered an astounding amount of commercial success. With his signature bed head mop of blondish hair still in place and his stage presence as sizzling as ever, Rod Stewart has proven that he is here to stay, even today.
