Deeply impacting the minds of audiences across the world, Staind have emerged as one of the leading bands in their genre with several successful singles and albums over the last five years. Beginning out as a small band in New England, Staind members Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, Jon Wysocki and Johnny April, could not have contemplated the height of success and popularity that they have reached. Their domination of their genre is near complete with several of their contemporaries also in awe of their musical abilities. With fans always clamouring to catch a glimpse of their favourite band, Staind's concerts are always sold-out affairs with tickets being hard to find. The unmatched level of performance that Staind brings forth in its concerts leave their fans gasping for more.
A gifted quartet with an amazingly intense sound, Staind have reached the top with unadulterated talent and the not so subtle influence of Lady Luck in the form of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst. Despite Durst having an initial unfavourable opinion of Staind due to the inflammatory artwork on their first CD "Tormented" (1996), once he witnessed their energetic and brilliant live performance, he was impressed enough to co-produce their major-label debut "Dysfunction" (1999).
Though they had already established themselves with extensive touring and had even self-released "Tormented", their heaviest and grittiest album, it was with "Dysfunction", a nu-metal album that they came into spotlight. With songs like "Just Go", "Mudshovel" and "Home", Staind made the nation sit up and take notice of the chunky riffs and Aaron's brilliant voice. The album sold over two million copies in the US alone with fans claiming it to be the group's best work. Staind followed this album with the multi-platinum album "Break the Cycle" in 2001. Successfully using Alternate Metal sounds in this album, Staind were quickly entering the mainstream spawning hits like "It's Been Awhile", "Fade", "Outside", "For You" and "Epiphany". The band's first international hit, the album got both critical and popular acclaim for dark lyrics and the heavy but catchy treatment given to the songs.
In 2003, the band released "14 Shades of Grey", their most mainstream album with songs like "Price To Play", "So Far Away", "How About You" and "Zoe Jane". Staind felt that "14 Shades of Grey" was their high-water mark but followed it in 2005 by "Chapter V" their third consecutive number 1 album which featured songs like "Right Here", "Falling" and "Everything Changes". Their song "Price to Play", was WWE's Vengeance event's official theme song in 2003. Other songs such as "So Far Away" and "Right Here" have also featured on RAW episodes.
Always keen to interact with their fans, Staind have always maintained a grueling touring schedule. They have toured with other many other artists such as Kid Rock, good friends Limp Bizkit, P.O.D, Taproot, Flyleaf, Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park, Static X and Deadsy. The group's electrifying performances ahould not be missed at any cost. So book your tickets online to be sure that you don't miss out on getting a glimpse of this awesome band.
