I'm looking to do a mix of originals and covers. Covers to get their attention and originals to set us apart from every other band in Chicago with the same setlist. My vision has always been to have an energetic, stylist band comprised of awesome musicians that bring big harmonies and an eclectic guitar rock sound.
Possible lineup: Vocalist/Rhythm Guitar/Crowd Guitar/background vocals Bass/background vocals Drums/background vocals Keys/Rhythm Guitar/background vocals
My aim is to target people in their low 20's. If you're anything like me, you'll remember that when you turned 21 you looked for any excuse to go out to a bar or club. My goal is to become that excuse. I think it's possible by developing a show rather than just play some songs. Musicians tend think of cool clothes & rock posing on stage as a crutch but a drunk 21 year old girl thinks it hot. She'll go home, tell her friends and come back with an army. Looks DO matter. It's a sad fact.
Musicians always talks about giving the fans a "show" like we did in the 80's and like a lot of young bands do today but then show up at every show with a black t-shirt and stand in one spot looking at their instrument for 3 hours. A perfect example of someone who just doesn't feel the difference between a musician and a performer. I'm looking for those guys who will dance, jump around, bang their head, strike a pose, raise their fist in the air, high five the people in the front row. You can play your songs perfectly and people will respect you but you need to give them something that they can't live without.
