The Half Day Bluegrass Band is a traditional five piece bluegrass band that's been playing
Chicagoland and beyond quite a bit over the last few years. From Bluegrass festivals to
private parties, charity events to taverns, bookstores to barnyards, we try and spread the
news that the music we love is alive and well in this neck of the woods. And not only do
we believe that it is, but we're sure you'll agree, too. We're influenced most strongly by
the old masters -- Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Flatt & Scruggs, but we also
like to play with a modern flavor.
