Singer songwriter Paulina Franz has performed in a number of club venues in Minnesota as well as performed at clubs and State Fairs in California and personally arranged showcases in Chicago. She started playing classical violin at the age of 7 and while in high school played first chair violin as well as in the first violin section of her local youth symphony. In 2000 she recorded her first EP that proved to be a great Industry calling card aka noted producer Rick Brown who has worked with Pop Staples, Mavis, Hall and Oats to mention a few. "This was a chance for me to test my wings both vocally and lyrically in the studio as well as perform a few showcases" she says. She has received positive reviews for her first EP including Paul Baril editor of Chicago Arts and Entertainment and Chicago Gigs Antonia B. Johnston. Her career has blossomed in direct relation to her efforts in becoming the best singer/songwriter she can be. After months of studying with her great vocal coach out of California, Jeannie Deva, and studying the craft of songwriting, Paulina is about to unleash all that she has learned with the help of others. From production to choosing her own original material her team desires to create "scientifically tested" hit material. She say's "It takes a team of really knowledgeable people to make the kind of CD that makes history. I am not saying I will accomplish this but I have dreamed of this for a long time and I think this time I have prepared well. I hope my new CD will prove to be commercially successful". Her new producer is writing the music, is a veteran in the business and, now Paulina's new improved ability to write great lyrics have a beautiful musical landscape. She will record a CD of material this summer and she hopes her newly trained voice will reflect her hard work with a rich, fluid quality while maintaining the power her voice has. She also looks forward to performing her material. "I realize the importance of being as proficient in the studio as well as on stage. However, if you don't have anything worth performing then it's better to be learning, writing and practicing. Someone told me once that if you're not fishing you should be cutting bait". Those who have had the chance to get to know Paulina appreciate her beauty as well as her intelligent and hard working approach to the game of Music, and wish her all the best in her effort to catch a big fish this time.
