The band also incorporates a wider instrumentation, including accordion and violin, on occasion. While each member has their own influences and aspirations, the band is focused on making music that incorporates a wide variety of musical styles, traditions, languages, and ideas. Radio Mango's music will get you out of your seat! It's fun, danceable, dynamic and, at times, deep.

Arthur Judys Originally from Klaipeda, Lithuania, Arthur Judys studied alto sax and piano at the Conservatory of Klaipeda. Before coming to the US, he worked as a music producer at Arta Sound Studio and as a touring musician. He has played drums for over 7 years with rock and jazz bands. He has a degree in web and graphic design and currently works as a freelance web designer.

Dane Tyson Multi-instrumentalist Dane Tyson has been playing bass for over 30 years, with bands including Pittsburgh's Philbroid Studge, Boston's Donneybrook, and Chicago's NRG and Sheela-Na-Gig. Influences include Bakithi Kumalo, James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, and Marcus Miller. In addition to fretted and fretless bass, Dane plays mandolin, Irish bouzouki, and oud (the last with the University of Chicago's Middle Eastern Music Ensemble).

Doug Ringwald is a guitarist and producer experienced in many styles of music, and is a veteran of the Chicago music scene. He studied at the University of Illinois and is a graduate of the Musicians' Institute in Los Angeles. He has produced many albums for local bands through his studio, Firemouth Recording, and is currently an artist-in-residence at Rush Children's Hospital. Also, he is obsessed with flamenco guitar.

Gabriel Chapman Desperate to begin a new life as a musician, Gabriel contracted malaria while doing research in Senegal in 2003, was hospitalized and moved to Chicago. During the past two years he has been writing and playing music in the city. His interest in world music has been fueled by albums he's collected while living and traveling abroad. Among his favorites are Manu Chao, Youssou N'dour, Paul Simon, Maná, and Orchestre Baobab. He is the former lead singer of Aya Sofia.

John Pollack has enjoyed making noises for years, and his playing has been strongly influenced by everything from rain storms to construction sites...as well as all kinds of drumming.

Lara Golan started on piano at the age of 3 and later went on to study clarinet, voice and composition. She received a Masters in Music Composition from Northwestern University. Soon after finishing her degree, she delved into singing/ songwriting, which has been the core of her musical activity ever since. She particularly loves to layer vocal harmonies. Influences include Cibo Matto, David Byrne, Philip Glass, Manu Chao, and her brother, David Golan (to name a mere few among an eclectic range of artists and styles).
