Milwaukee Brewers is a professional baseball team and is a part of the Central Division League (NL). One of the places where the club used to play home games is at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the name of the team originated from the city's bear making industry. However, the team played in the American League (AL) till the year 1998, before it moved to NL as a part of a league realignment.

In the year 1969, the team got associated with AL as the Seattle Pilots. Soon after a season passed, the franchise of the Seattle was sold to the Milwaukee group due to financial hazards. However, the club renamed the Brewers, while loosing a total number of more than 90 games in six of its first eight seasons.

A young and a talented line-up came up in the mid of 1970's with shortstop Robin Yount, and the right fielder Hank Aaron, who got retired from the Brewers in the year of 1976. Aaron made a major league record with 755 home runs, which exceeded the number made by Babe Ruth who was at 41 less home runs than him.

The team went on their first trip to the World Series in the year 1982, but unfortunately lost to their contenders St. Louis Cardinals. It was during the same year that Pete Vuckovich won 18 odd games and became the leader of the Brewer's pitching staff. During this time, Yount made several hits and doubles to win his first of two AL MVP awards. However, in the year of 1998, the Brewers shifted from the Central Division of the AL to the Central Division of the NL. This however, resulted in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to enter into a new expansion franchise in the American League.

2006 Season Preview:

Although the Milwaukee Brewers are the full of strong potential, but their lineup still falls weak. But, once their skills improve they would prove to be strong contenders for their rival teams in near future . If the team continues to play well against teams in their own division specially with the ones such as Cubs, Cardinals and Astros, then they would lead the teams as the world champions. Milwaukee's last year's result with 38-41 versus other NL Central clubs.
