Minnesota Twins are considered to be one of the most influential baseball teams. The team has won three tournaments consecutively by winning the American League Central again with a 92-70 record . They are just nine games ahead of the second -place White Sox. This was when the Yankees had a win over the Twins in the American League Division Series in four games for the second consecutive year. It is said that Metrodome is the only stadium across the world to host the World Series (1987 and 1991), baseball's All-Star Game (1985), the Super Bowl (XXVI, 1992) and the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament (1992 & 2001). The stadium was built on December 20th , 1979, by the state of Minnesota with an estimated cost of $68 million.

2006 Season Preview:

With years of dominating the American League Central, the Twins faced tough times in the year 2005, settin up their targets on the Cleveland Indians and the World Series Champs, the Chicago White Sox.Therefore, the year 2006 will be not a different one. The beginning of the rotation for the Twins would rank fifth in the AL's previous season. Currently, the annual Cy Young candidate Johan Santana leads the group, while other team members such as Brad Radke, Carlos Silva and Kyle Lohse have been really important for the team, as they have the capability to get you on the late innings.
