The Pittsburgh Pirates is a Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, based Major League Baseball team. The team was formed in the year of 1882 as Alleghenies and also marks a place as one of the four teams in the Central Division of the National League (NL). PNC Park is the home of the Pirates which is located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and built in the year of 2001, on March 31.

In the year 1985, the AA club picked up a number of players from a defunct Columbus, Ohio team. Soon, the team merged with the Pittsburg team in 1890, after which it came to an end. Pittsburg Pirates added some of the talented players in 1900, who came from Louisville, Kentucky club, which also comprised of legendary players like Honus Wagner and Fred Clarke, who was the team's manager at that point of time.

The years 1901-1903 Pirates, with full force dominated the National League, because the team had lost a few good players to the rival American League. in part because they lost few star players to the rival American League. The team lost several games during that season with a score of 51-103 record in 1917, which was Honus Wagner's last season.
