The San Francisco Giants are world's one of the best baseball teams enriched with great background. The team consists of several prestigious members such as Carl Hubbell, Bobby Thompson, Wille McCovey, and Juan Marichal. The team have two best all rounders who play with great Willie Mays and the most magnificent players of his times Barry Bonds of the San Fransisco Giants. However, Mays scored nearly 660 home runs during the course of his career and was assigned as number as number one player because of he played dynamically. He was said to play in any kind of circumstances. On the other hand, Barry Bonds won the National League Most Valuable Player award not just for once, but for seven consecutive times. Barry also won eight gold gloves, twelve silver slugger awards and was voted as National League's all-star team thirteen times.
In the year 1930, the San Francisco Giants participate in three World Series, among which they won the 1933 World Championship. The Giants though qualified for the fall classic again, they were not taken by the New Yor Yankees. However, in the year of 1954, the team played several games against their contendors such as Cleveland Indians, who won nearly 111 games in the regular season.
But the Giants proved to be the most defensive teams against Cleveland Indians during that era. In this match the center fielder made a magnificent catch of 460-foot, which was hitted from the bat of Cleveland Indians Vic Wertz.
