Get ready for some rough and tumble basketball action with tickets to see the growling Memphis Grizzlies live on the courts. Tickets to seeing them play are the perfect chance to watch a young team come into its own, learn from its mistakes and become a better team in the process. Always spirited and passionate about their game, the Grizzlies are a treat to watch on the courts.

The team started out as the Vancouver Grizzlies, one of the two Canadian teams along with the Toronto Raptors to get an NBA franchise in 1995. The team originally applied under the name Vancouver Mounties but the government of Canada took exception to the name. The Grizzlies was an expansion team, built from players that were picked and chosen from other teams and they got off to a great start by winning their very first game in the history of the team. But that kind of victory would remain few and far between in the years to come- the Grizzlies finished the '95-'96 season dismally, walking away with the worst season record in the NBA for that year.

This however was expected from a novice, expansion team. The Grizzlies continued to boost their roster, adding the names of players like Shareef Abdur-Rahim in the hopes of injecting new life into the team. However the Grizzlies still couldn't find their groove, no matter how hard they played. At the end of the season, they were left holding the record for the worst season yet again. Things went from bad to worse when interest in the team began to flag after an NBA lockout. With the Grizzlies doing poorly on the courts and losing the management money, the team was sold and shifted to Memphis in 2000.

It was here that the fortunes of the team began to pick up- with Hall of Famer Jerry West in the driver's seat, the Grizzlies began to brush up their game in a big way. A couple of smart moves also occurred- one being the drafting of star player Pau Gasol and the hiring of coach Hubie Brown. Sure enough, the Grizzlies made the playoffs in the spring of 2004, an incredible achievement for a team that was going nowhere fast just a few years ago.

This quick run of good fortune came to an end when Brown stepped down as coach in 2004, after which the Grizzlies lost their footing once more. Fratello was called in as Brown's replacement and once again, things picked up for the Grizzlies. Not only did their win/loss record improve, the team also made it to the playoffs yet again. In 2005, the team underwent a revamping process where a number of veteran players were added to the roster- this resulted in their third playoff entry in a row for the Grizzlies.

Things certainly look bright for this underdog team so don't miss your chance to see them live in action- contact your online ticket vendor today and book your tickets to see the Memphis Grizzlies!
