In the US Airways center, the Arizona Rattlers plays their home games. The Phoenix Suns which participates in the National Basketball league also play their home games in the US Airways center. Shell coached the famous New York Dragons and the San Jose SaberCats before he was appointed the Arizona Rattlers coach. However, Shell couldn't stay long with the Rattlers. On September 1, 2005 Shell resigned from his post following his arrest for possessing cocaine. Eventually, Gene Nudo was appointed as the new coach for the Rattlers on September 15, 2005.

The Arizona Rattlers also have a dance team called “Sidewinders” which follow the team wherever it plays. The “Sidewinders” concentrates on supporting the players of the team. They also entertain the crowd during the matches featuring the Arizona Rattlers. The Arizona Rattlers' players, officials and coaches often take part in numerous community programs. Rattlers' “Hand Off to kids” Program is directed toward organizations and companies to donate tickets to the children who live in the community. Moreover, the Rattlers have also tied up with the Rattlers Community Relations Department to arrange fund raising events every year.

The Arizona Rattlers have received the services of many noted players-current as well as former.
