The Los Angeles Avengers started playing in the AFL in 2000. Since then the team has been a regular member of the Western Division of the National Congress. On 10th April 2005, Al Lucas , Los Angeles Avenger's defensive lineman was injured when he attempted to make a tackle. Immediately Lucas was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to the injury. The sad demise of Lucas was a huge lost for the team-said coach Ed Hodgkiss.

The dance band is consisted of 19 beautiful ladies whose prime goal is to support the team and boost their moral.
The Los Angeles Avengers alongside the "A-Team" and their coaches take part in various community events. They not only visit schools and hospitals but also participate in many social events. Tiffany and Shea, two talented dancers of "A-Team" spent August 31 at the Many Mota Field where the Dreams Charity Golf Tournament was in progress. The "A-Team" dancers took photographs with the participants and signed autographs too.
The funds that the "A-Team"dancers of the Los Angeles Avengers earn is directed toward the Manny Mota International Foundation (MMIF) in America and the Dominican Republic for humanitarian purposes. So, the Los Angeles Avengers are not only a playing team, they are also a team of members who work for the benefit of the society.
