The San Jose Sabercats plays for the Western Division in the Arena Football League. They started participating in the National Congress as a 1995 expansion team.

The present team is consisted of many notable players who have already proved their talents and skills in the past AFL Championship tournaments. The San Jose Sabercats plays their home games at the HP Pavilion which is situated in San Jose, California. The HP Pavilion is also the home San Jose Sharks which participates in the National Hockey League. The San Jose Saber cats went on winning the 2002 and 2004 ArenaBowl champions beating the hot favorite Arizona Rattlers. The San Jose Sabercats' jersey colors are Gold and Green.
