Stan Humphries led the then Northeast Louisiana University Indians to the 1987 I-AA championship. Humphries, a member of the ULM Hall of Fame played 10 years in the National Football League. Joe Profit was the all-time leading rusher of the Gulf States Conference with 2,818 yard. Joe Profit is a member of both the ULM and Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Joe has the distinction of being the first player at the university to have his jersey (#40) retired,BaseballLouisiana-Monroe Indians head baseball coach Jeff Schexnaider recently announced the hiring of Mike Trahan to the position of assistant coach. Trahan will join the Warhawks baseball staff on August 1.
