The University of Toledo has a mesmerizing history. Jesup Wakeman Scott originally articulated a dream that led him to successfully endow what would later become The University of Toledo. In 1872 Scott went on to donate 160 acres of land to start with as an endowment for a university in order to train the city's young people. Thereafter in its illustrious 125 years history since, the prestigious university has quietly grown into a huge comprehensive institution that now offers more than 250 reputed undergraduate and graduate programs. It has more than 20,000 bright students from across the world studying in its hallowed echelons. The university also has a famous football team known as the Toledo Rockets which has repeatedly brought glory to the organization. The Toledo Rockets has some of the finest stars of football. The University of Toledo has a distinct history of producing some legendary offensive lineman. Even recently we had the remarkable left tackle Nick Kaczur who incidentally was drafted by the famous New England Patriots during the 3rd round of 2005 season and became a prominent starter for the Patriots. That history has many distinguishing lights such as Junior left tackle; the talented John Greco who apparently was named the overall top freshman on the while on the illustrious Rockets squad in the year 2004.
The reputed Athlon Magazine has happened to list John Greco on the renowned 3rd team of their reputed preseason All-America list in their college football preview published annually. He even is also on the watch list of 2006 Lombardi Award for the nation's best down lineman. The Home of the UT Rockets is the apparently The University of Toledo's splendid Glass Bowl Stadium.
