In the year 1927, the remarkable Conn Smythe went on to purchase a hockey team the St. Pats and eventually renamed them as the Maple Leafs. Then their success started in true sense. The Leafs were successfully able to reel off continuously three straight prestigious Stanley Cup victories from the year 1962 to 1964. This was possible with the considerable help of greats like Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower, Dave Keon, and Tim Horton. In the year
1967 the remarkable Frank Mahovlich and Red Kelly managed to celebrate the illustrious Leafs last Stanley Cup. In that year the Leafs and the powerful Montreal Canadiens happened to meet in the widely watched Cup finals for the last time. The popular Montreal was easily considered to be a favorite as some analysts remarked that the Leafs were has-beens. But the Leafs managed to pull off a great victory. They showed everybody quite prominently that experience can make you win Stanley Cups. The Leafs however haven't managed to win the Stanley Cup, or even ever managed to be to the finals, since that eventful year.
