Bingo is successfully running as an environmental musical comedy. The big joke is that that the show begins with a blackout. This is not one of those traditional "house lights to half, house lights out" kind. That practice has become a part of today's theatergoing ritual. But the Bingo black out is total and complete absence of any light. The act is sudden and plunges the theater into a desolation that is like none other evidenced by the theatergoers.

The audiences also get a chance to participate in the Bingo game currently played at Hamerin County's that is located in St. Luke's Church basement.

This is where all the characters of the play meet. Vern, Honey and Patsy are three pals who are bound by the destiny and have driven through hurricane Dora. They accept their fate in the name of their weekly obsession. Finally love blossoms between number calling, rituals and strange fierce competitions. Amongst all these estranged friends unite.

The show is written by the duo Michael Heitzman and llene Reid. The music is given by David Holcenberg. The story travels through many sides of human personality as betrayal, long-held rivalries etc. The music is as varied as the emotions portrayed in the play. Superstition plays a very important role in the play. The play is directed by Thomas Caruso. The choreography is by Lisa Stevens and the scenic design by Eric Renschler.

Bingo has a cast that dazzles. The cast includes Klea Blackhurst who plays Bernice/Marilyn, Chevi Colton is Minnie, then there is Tony nominee Liz Larsen as Honey, Liz McCartney as Vern, Janet Metz as Patsy and Patrick Ryan Sullivan as Sam/Frank. Jessica-Snow Wilson is the last to join the cast and will play Alison, who is an unassuming young woman. She appears at the Hamerin County Bingo Hall that stormy evening to right a longstanding wrong that involves three die-hard Bingo-playing pals. The role of Alison was conceived in the Off-Broadway version by Beth Malone. Bingo is the latest in the genre of interactive plays and promises wholesome and unparalleled entertainment.
