"Cirque du Soleil" translates to a totally different world of breath taking entertainment that stands out for its acrobatics, daredevil balancing acts, and thrilling body contortions. These shows are just wonderful spectacles and also comprise a consummate lesson of daring skills in them. Their shows not just present some skillful feats but also combine an unmatchable blend of wisdom, sentiment and a testament of their deep understanding of the art. Their shows are far removed from the old-fashioned pomp of a traditional circus. It's all started when, some enthusiastic young public entertainers create the popular "High Heels Club," At the starting of the eighties, and by their diligent efforts the club was completely formed within a short span of time. Most of the club members were used to walk on high stilts, and they named their group after their habit.

It's all happened in Quebec, a region which was earlier known for have no circus tradition, until these passionate performers conquered the region with their dynamic performances.

After some initial rehearsals, these enthusiastic artists, decided to set up a colorful festival in order to gather every one of them and to be duly able to exchange their talent and ideas. And then, they finally agreed to perform together in the same electrifying "Big Top." In 1984, during the hugely anticipated anniversary of the arrival of the Great Jacques Carties in Canada, the Cirque du Soliel is born. The group usually travels around the Quebec region while offering a wholesome theatralized show which blends original music, light effects, colorful costumes, and the arts of the circus and the street.

In the midst of 1986, the group traveled further: it rapidly went to Vancouver and Ontario; followed by their trip to California. Their initial tours proved a huge hit and eventually gave them enough encouragement to go on. Then the group launched their biggest tour ever, an amazing tour of United States. There mammoth creation the "Big Top" which could astonishingly gather 800 people. The "Big Top" has been renovated many times since it birth. In1990, after its biggest renovation, it had the huge capacity, as 2500 people could sit in it. Since its foundation the group has already created its many branches successfully. Cirque du Soleil now travels in Europe too and also offers some new shows. It's a unique creation which presents a superb combination of new experience and reinvented Circus. The group proposes several different and amazing shows throughout the whole world. There new shows include, "Fascination" that was introduced in Japan in 1992, "New Experience" another creation was rated as a huge hit in Las Vegas; their next creation is "Mystery." "Saltimbanco" was formed to celebrate the tenth anniversary of this great circus. In 1996, this incredible circus created its hugely anticipated ninth production "Quidam."

In the autumn of 1998, the group declared the making of a brand new and a permanent show in the city of lights, "Las Vegas," on an amazing aquatic scene, followed by another appearance in Disneyworld, Florida. All these hugely acclaimed findings are diligently created in their own studio that is situated in Montreal, it's a 14,000 square meters building with practice rooms, a costume workshop and a decoration shop. The supreme goal of this hugely popular group is to show a dream world that reinvents the great circus and make it absolutely new.
