Don Quixote is the very gripping story of a thinking gentleman from the famous La Mancha; this man is completely obsessed with the so many chivalrous ideals in books he has thoroughly read. In a coming time when such things are like long past; eventually he decides to really take up a sword and lance to really defend the helpless and ultimately destroy the wicked. He has been faithfully aided by his very faithful servant Sancho Panza.
The story takes a huge dramatic turn when, Don Quixote thoroughly rides the wide roads of Spain in the great search of glory and grand adventure. The show has been very well adapted by Paul Magid and the hugely famous Flying Karamazov Brothers. This breath taking show is divided in four acts; its better described as a dance-packed feast of superb and broad humor with easygoing romance and an elegant touch of fantasy. The atmosphere of the show is absolutely festive and flirtatious, with some amazing display of swirling skirts, scintillating cape-wielding toreadors and some quick kisses behind some well planned and strategically placed fans. The appeal of the show is very well enhanced with a well-behaved and humorous guest appearance from a live donkey and horse double-act.
This overall production is rated as colorful and flamboyant that is full of traditional Spanish dance, humorous classical ballet and farce. The show is full of fiery gypsy flamenco-type dancers amazingly holding tambourines and big matadors flourishing cloaks very well manipulated with loads of cool Spanish swank. This sizzling entertaining ballet has the incredible classic showpiece numbers with many breath taking activities like one-handed fast lifts over the head, tremendous multiple turns, sizzling lengthy balances on one leg only and much speedy footwork. The whole dance crew is very well learned in the danced with an exuberance and warm joy that really lifts the vibrant spirits of the audience.
The adventures plot takes the audience on the great journey of Don Quixote and his famous squire, Sancho Panza, as they simply follow the vision of Dulcinea. In the popular Sevilla, Kitri, daughter of Lorenzo, who is deeply in love with Basilio, who is a poor barber. Lorenzo really wishes to marry his belove daughter off to Gamache, a noted nobleman. Dramatically, Don Quixote sees in Kitri the unusual vision of Dulcinea. That's how begins the famous all three men pursue Kitri. The popular chase in a Gypsy Camp, Don Quixote and brave and faithful Sancho Panza suddenly see Kitri and Basilio, and then Don Quixote just attacks a Windmill that really appears to be a dreadful monster and after that he falls asleep, peacefully, dreaming of Kitri and Dulcinea. At last, when he awakens, he really thwarts Lorenzo and Gamache's famous search for Kitri and Basilio.
