Enchanted April is a play that is based on the Elizabeth Von Arnim's 1921 best selling book by the same name.

Like the novel and the film, the play with its simple message and predictable happy ending is too easily written off as a woman's story. However, the play while focusing on the confusion of two women with one foot in the old kinder society, also managed to explore the broader unsettled feelings engendered by World War I. It is the optimism of an uplifting experience to erase the sadness and confusion in the wake of wars and major social changes that perhaps is the highlight of the story's enduring appeal.

It is a story of four dissimilar women in post-World War I England who leave damp and rainy London to go on a holiday to a secluded coastal villa in Italy. Two housewives, who belong to the same church but have never spoken before, become acquainted. Each of them, in their own way is suffering through an empty marriage and face the prospect of a lonely and almost isolated middle age. After seeing a newspaper ad for a villa for rent on the Italian Riviera, the women set about finding two other ladies to share expenses. They are eventually joined by a beautiful young socialite and an elderly dowager, the four find rejuvenation in the tranquil beauty and serenity of their surroundings.

Go relive the Post World War I period and encounter the dilemmas faced by these four women are lost and are looking at a hopeless future. Explore their relationship, strengths and weaknesses and their will to make things better. Don't miss this fascinating tale, contact your on line ticket vendor and get the tickets.
