Jack and the Beanstalk Jack; the hen, the cow, and that big gluttonous Giant are all here. They are here to entertain you with sizzling live music, capacity audience. Free! Fie! Foe! Fum! And tremendous Jack and his superb magic beans will be definitely causing a sort of stir as traditional family pantomime then returns to the Lyceum. Well known and hapless Jack has been really swapped the family cow for some old beans. This is the right time join Fairy, Jack, Simple Simon and a host of other famous characters, including the treacherous and villainous Fleshcreep, as they really sing, laugh and dance their amazing way through this well known loved panto classic. The well defined cast includes: Malandra Burrows (Cathy Glover from Emmerdale), Sarah Thomas (Glenda from Last of the Summer Wine), Thomas Craig (Tommy Harris from Coronation Street), Pete Hillier (from CBeebies Boogie Beebies) and Andy Ryan (Top Panto Dame).

This hugely popular show is very well written by Larry Aumen and Michael Alogna. The show has been directed by Bruce Cannon. This amazing show was originally performed in the late 1960's. The mesmerizing puppets have been thoroughly rebuilt and finally restored by David Stein, Janine Schiller, and Nick Coppola; Nick has also designed the costumes and a superb new "Jack". The beautiful sets are very well designed by Kevin J. Roach. The show has got all new and fresh look with the famous audio track and including superb music and hilarious dialogue. Well the original soundtrack is 40 years old. There are some minor alterations has been done in the show. The new tape is exactly what the targeted parents of the very young members of the famous audience might have really listened to as they will see the show.

There has been everything revitalized and even the minor details about Jack and the Beanstalk except the famous soundtrack and well created script. It's like putting a new superb brand new paint on an incredible antique car. The music has been very good and appealing as the curtains
part to reveal Jack and his famous cow, Dolly; Dolly really sing and superbly dance at the glowing drop of a beautiful empty milk bucket. Even the very kindly peddler who amazingly trades Jack the popular beans in pitiful exchange for Dolly has a superb song up his dirty and tattered sleeve.

Then it goes. Now, everyone gets to sing-- some very cool tracks like, the giant, Milford; his housekeeper, Citronella; then the golden harp and glowing golden egg laying chicken. The songs are better described as derivative, and very well lifted from other shows. There is a very famous track in the play and it goes like: "When You Wish Upon a Star". The show really serves as the complete description of the plot and inner emotions.

In addition to that, there are interminable instrumental pieces which are very beautifully played during some quite lengthy scenes. Jack's famous ingenuity is very well restored in the famous triumph for the "Little Guy." When the Giant amazingly bellows "Fee Fi Fo Fum," it has been amazingly combined with the exquisite music. What exactly makes this show really canned is the superb juxtaposition of the live demo that has been done with the show.
