This kid hates shopping, but if the shopping is carried out in supermarket, then she loves it because she gets to eat ice-market, where she can find different varieties. But sometimes when her mother doesn't buy one for her and then she starts shouting. So she has made a rule for Junie not to shout at the supermarket for ice-cream, for she would never take Junie to the supermarket. Junie B, studies in a kindergarten and is very inquisitive by nature. She asks her teacher, whom she calls "Mrs", as she doesn't like to call her by her last name (reasons best known to Judy) a lot of question about each and every school subject. In the school, she sometimes faces challenges, though she fears them, Judy overcomes them successfully with her wit and wisdom. Her best friend are Lucie and Grace. Lucie hails from upper-class and is pampered by her grandmother while Grace is an athletic, African-American girl. The person whom Junie hates most is Jim, her class bully. But on Valentine's Day, she struck up friendship with Junie.

She portrays her child character in such a way, who is not larger than life, who looks real, neither he/she is in control of the circumstances nor he/she is someone who is popular in his/her vicinity, but is always the carrier of smile and laughter.

Her most popular book is "Skinnybones", where the main character is a bad baseball player and the way he plays and behaves make the play humorous. The book has won many awards which were chosen solely by its readers- children. "Almost Starring Skinnybones", is the sequel of "Skinnybones". Another famous book is, "Don't Make Me Smile", where the child character has to deal with the divorce of his parents, though it is a serious subject, but Park has created a balance between sadness and laughter by introducing the element of humor and gradually the character accepts all the changes in his life. Next she wrote "Buddies" which tells the story about a group of girls who are camping out in a forest and has to get rid of an outsider.
