Jerry Reinsdorf, co-owner and Team Chairman of the Chicago Bulls and William Wirtz, owner of the Chicago Blackhawks together decided to create an arena that would take sports and entertainment to another level.

The United Center opened in 1994 and soon became a hot attraction. The address of the center is 1901 W Madison St, Chicago. Its home to the The Bulls and Blackhawks. It also hosts the biggest concerts and conventions in town. The biggest names that have played here include names such as Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Ricky Martin, Ice Capades and Cirque de Soleil, Dixie Chicks etc. It also hosted the Democratic National Convention in 1996.

The Bulls star and Chicago star Michael Jordan was most influential in its construction. But he retired before the season began and was absent for the opening event. Today he is set in bronze outside the east entrance.

The United Center is home to the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks. It is also the largest arena in the United States. Since opening, it has hosted around 200 events each year. It has been the center of activity around the year. Thus United Center has hosted over twenty million guests till now.
