Void Where Prohibited is a
four-piece rock 'n' roll band that weaves together a driving beat with cutting lyrics.
Launched in the summer of 1999, the band came together at Cool Metro Studios in Chicago.
The band brings together Kevin Giglinto on rhythm guitar and vocals, Mark Jourdan on lead
guitar, Adam Somers on bass and Pete Stenson on drums.Void Where Prohibited works hard to continue to build on its fan base. The band maintains an ongoing e-mail dialogue with fans that have signed up to get performance updates as well as other band news. In addition, the band works to drive attendance at performances through various promotions that support the advertising placed by the hosting venue. T-Shirt and CD giveaways have become a staple at performances to encourage audience participation and to keep the experience upbeat, to match the music. Our first CD, Pete's Free Gig Summer was released in September 2000 and our second CD, Freakinator, was released in March 2002 (both produced by Matt Allison). They represent a good sample of the variety within Void Where Prohibited's repertoire. The band has played a variety of venues. Some of
them include the Beat Kitchen, the Elbo Room, Gunther Murphy's, Hog Head McDunnah's, The
Red Line, The Rock House, Northwestern University,Thurston's, The Keg, The Mutiny and
more. We hope you enjoy our music and we look forward to finding a date when we can play
at your venue.
